The Work that Reconnects Workshop
On Saturday 7 September we had our first workshop,
hopefully there will be more! by Alison McLeash
On Saturday 7th September the Spring sun shone for our much anticipated day of ’TheWork that Reconnects’ event. 23 of us came from Nelson, Motueka, Blenheim and the Wangapeka to gather in Orinoco.
Many thanks go to Debs Martin and Barb Robson for preparing and facilitating a full day of sharing our grief and fears for the future of mother earth. There were tears, anger, laughter shared with amazing mutual understanding and support. We talked, listened and empathised.
Thanks also Ronnie for serving us delicious food throughout the day, and to Ross, for building a safer bridge to take us to stand under the old totara trees on the property.
Through these experiences and building on our XR friendships, we are creating a supportive and nurturing community, to prepare us for the times ahead.
