First arrests for the Spring Rebellion.
Get ready to support the Rebellion in Court November 26th.
Three Rebels met at 4 am in Tamaki Makaurau to paint footpaths and put up posters: an A3 of the Open letter to the Prime Minister and Climate Disaster/Action posters (From election campaign). We have also had made a stencil (thanks to those who supported XR in this) to paint roads and footpaths. Plenty of paint donated from a film studio.
Apparently, it is Wilful Damage to paint on footpaths. We think about the wilful damage to the planet done by ANZ bank so told the people entering the building that we need zero emissions by 2025 to prevent ecocide.
Three of us will be able to take into Court why, we as responsible citizens, are driven to such illegal activities! Looking forward to it.
We will need your support in Court. We need the public gallery filled to capacity, Red Rebels, Banner holders, placard holders and leafleters. Plus some one to talk to the media. It is only with enough of us showing a lot of interest in this Court appearance that the media will take nay notice. You just being there (with whanau/friends) is so important.

Red Rebels
Do you enjoy a little drama? Want to be part of street theatre? We are building the number of Red Rebel gowns and are needing more people to use them. We hope to have at least 4 more Red Rebels for the November 26 Court Appearance.
Thanks to the people who have volunteered to be a Red Rebel. To join, you will need to have red long sleeved T shirt and trousers (we may have some available). You need to enjoy street theatre, walking very slowly up and down stairs with good balance. We also need a volunteer to help with the organizational side of the Red Rebels. COP 26: Rise up for the Climate Nov 3-7
Join us doing some serious cheeky fun to let the Government, Council and population know that
We must get to zero emissions by 2025
to keep to less than 2 degrees
postindustrial planetary temperature rise.
We are limited with the Covid Alert Levels. So, we are planning stenciling and postering electoral offices, council offices, and major polluters, with fake blood and fake oil. Maybe entrances to major parks We are doing this in pairs (2x Bubbles). Mask will be worn at all times. We expect that everyone is Vaccinated.
We need you to volunteer to give up a picnic and do some postering!
If you are available over Between Nov 3 & 7 and can help even just for an hour or two, please text Caril on 0211883933 to organise getting posters, paint and/or fake blood. Your choice!
Oi Musica
This piece of music has been composed with the express purpose of inviting choirs, street bands and community groups to learn and perform it, and join an exciting, collective musical response to the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) which will be held in Glasgow in November 2021.
