Bookings for the climate camp itself are now Closed

You can still register to attend the Action and visit the camp. Please be aware entry and meals for a day are a suggested $20 koha.

A NOTE ON PARTICIPATION AND CAMP PROGRAMME:

All rebels who intend to take part in the major Action on Monday 7 should have completed a Non-Violent Action training session, and all who intend to put themselves at risk of arrest should also complete a second-level NVDA training.

There will be several NVDA sessions on Saturday and Sunday, starting early Saturday afternoon. Because each session will involve approx. 30 people, the sooner you can attend a training, the better.

There will also be trainings for Support roles (for example, first aid and de-escalation), and workshops in regenerative culture each day. A legal briefing will be provided.

On the Tuesday there will be de-escalation/recovery sessions, followed by a camp concert headlined by Bruce Bisset & the Rural Voters, a blues/country band from Hawke’s Bay, to celebrate our success!

Also to note for those who need to bring children along, there will be a supervised “kid’s space”. But given the Action may take parents out of the loop for some considerable time, it is advised that if you can leave children cared-for at home, please do so.

A full programme, including options to book into sessions in advance, will be publicised as soon as available.

Unaccompanied Minors (Under-18)

If you are under-18 and not accompanied by an adult you will need to bring written consent signed by a parent/guardian to be at camp and take part in any non-violent demonstration.”
